First time here? Please read the introduction. And it never
hurts to read the FAQ.
- Search terms are ANDed together and are not case-sensitive.
- Name covers first, last and partial names. For example, "tar" matches Katarina
and Tarnawczyk. You can only search for one name at a time.
- Subject name only limits the search to the subject of a record. The subject of a birth record is
the child born, the subject of a marriage record are the two celebrants, and the subject of a death record
is the deceased. Subject-only searches ignore the other fields like parents, grandparents, witnesses, etc.
Turn this option off and you'll get more (and possibly less relevant) results.
- Represent the Polish letter Ł with "L~". For
search for "bryl~a" will find "Bryła". There are no other
characters specific to the Polish alphabet in these records.
